Panasonic produces all types of consumer electronics: from mobile phones to video cameras, from home appliances to medical devices, and televisions.

Panasonic TVs are sold in more than 100 countries around the world. But where are Panasonic TVs made?

This article will cover the various countries that Panasonic TVs are manufactured in, who makes Panasonic TVs, and other common questions.

Where Are Panasonic TVs Made?

Panasonic TVs are made in many different countries around the world, including the Czech Republic, India, Malaysia, Mexico, and Turkey. Some of the manufacturing has been outsourced to other manufacturing companies in those countries, but the TVs made are still under the Panasonic brand.

The Panasonic TVs made in the various countries are usually sold in the same territories or to neighboring countries in their markets.

Who Makes Panasonic TVs?

The Panasonic Corporation manufactures its own TVs, as well as outsourcing them to external manufacturing partners in certain countries. Panasonic TVs are made available through a network of subsidiaries and distributors.

The company’s headquarters are located in Osaka, Japan, with sales offices in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and numerous other countries.

Panasonic stopped producing TV panels because of low profitability. However, the quality of TV panels produced by other manufacturers is comparable to the quality of TV panels made by Panasonic themselves.

Panasonic started making flat-panel displays (FPD) in 1987, which were used in computers, game consoles, digital cameras, and portable media players.

In 2004, Panasonic began selling LCD TVs under the name Panasonic brand. In 2006, Panasonic launched the first OLED display panel, called “OLED PANEL”.

Panasonic TVs now use LCDs made by other companies. In 2020, Panasonic closed its display factory. This means that Panasonic TVs will be produced without using any displays made by Panasonic.

6 Countries Where Panasonic TVs Are Made

Here are the various countries where Panasonic TVs are manufactured.

1. China

In China, Panasonic manufactured TVs until 2016. Due to the financial crisis in the company and difficult competition with Chinese manufacturers, they decided to shut down the factories in China. For the Chinese Market, it was decided to manufacture Panasonic TVs through outsource partners.

2. Czech Republic

Panasonic has a TV manufacturing plant in Pilsen, Czech Republic that serves the European market. They assemble LED and OLED TVs at the Pilsen factory.

Panasonic also makes many other products at this factory, including TVs, Blu-ray players, heat pumps, and air conditioners.

3. India

The Panasonic India factory is in Noida, India. They make Panasonic TVs here for the local Indian market.

4. Malaysia

Panasonic has a large manufacturing and research operation in Malaysia. They produce Panasonic TVs there for the local Malaysian market, as well as for other Asian countries, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and Japan.

Panasonic makes TV components in the Malaysian factory and assemble the finished products there as well.

5. Mexico

The Panasonic factory in Mexico manufactures Panasonic TVs for Canada and Latin America. About 20% of the produced TVs are sold domestically in Mexico, while the rest are exported to other countries.

There was some information that the Panasonic factory in Mexico would be sold, but it ended up not selling and the production of Panasonic TVs continued in Mexico. They now make about 300,000 TVs a year in the Mexico factory.

The number of Panasonic TVs made are smaller here because Panasonic TVs are no longer sold in the U.S. (more on this later).

6. Turkey

Panasonic TVs in Turkey are manufactured in the Turkish concern Vestel. The TVs made at this factory are mainly the entry-level and budget-friendly TV models.

The Panasonic TVs made in the Turkey factory are sold in the local Turkey markets, as well as Europe and Africa.

Is Panasonic TV a Good Brand?

Panasonic TV is  a good brand, known for their durability and quality. They are made from sturdy plastic and metal parts. They are built to last. They are also energy efficient.

They consume less electricity than other brands. The picture quality is excellent. They come with a wide range of features including HDTV, DVD players, DVR, and VCR. They are easy to set up and operate. They are very affordable.

Compared to new TV players like Vu, iFALCON, or Mi, Panasonic is more reliable.

What Happened to Panasonic TVs?

Panasonic was once a world leader in television manufacturing, but they saw slumping sales due to competition and had trouble staying afloat. Panasonic TVs stopped selling in the U.S., but continue to be sold in countries around the world.

They still manufacture their own line of LCD TVs. However, most of these TVs are sold outside of North America.

Are Panasonic TVs Good Quality?

Panasonic televisions are generally considered to be among the higher quality televisions on the market today. They offer excellent picture quality, a wide range of features, and a long list of technical specifications. However, there are a few drawbacks to buying a Panasonic television. One of these is that they tend to cost more than other brands. Another drawback is that they are often difficult to find in stores.

A truly cinematic experience is what you get when you watch movies on a Panasonic. This company makes great TVs.

Why It’s Hard to Buy a Panasonic TV

Panasonic makes TVs that are known for their quality and reliability. But when it comes to buying a new set, you’re often left wondering why it’s hard to find a Panasonic TV.

Panasonic stopped selling Panasonic TVs in the U.S. in 2016 due to struggling sales. You can find old or foreign-made Panasonic TVs on some online marketplaces or retailers, but new TVs will not be there.

Some online retailers like Walmart may still list Panasonic TVs, but there is no way to purchase them because there will be no stock. .

Why Panasonic Left the US TV Market

Panasonic TVs were once very popular. But now, they’re not available anymore. And it seems like the company is pulling out of the U. S. market.

Despite Panasonic’s exit from the TV market, you may still be able to find some used 2015 and 2016 TVs for purchase through online auction sites or marketplaces. You may also be able to find some brick-and- mortar retailers who still carry the brand.

Where Panasonic TVs Are Made Final Thoughts

Panasonic TVs have a lot going for them. They make high-quality products, and they’re relatively inexpensive. If you want a durable TV that won’t break the bank, then you should consider purchasing one if you don’t live in the U.S.

If you live in the U.S., it may not be worth going abroad to buy a Panasonic TV. It’ll be better to buy other brands for the value.
